Mahlatse Rampedi holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies/Relations and an Honours degree in Political Studies. He has recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Sociology, with distinction, from the University of Johannesburg with his thesis titled ‘Youth, Political Participation and Protest in South Africa: the Case of Zamdela, Sasolburg’. His particular research interests include youth politics, repertoires of collective action and electoral politics. Mahlatse previously worked as a Research Assistant where he did research on socio-political issues, focusing particularly on the wave of service delivery protests in South Africa.
