[nectar_dropcap color=”#27ccc0″]PARI[/nectar_dropcap] has signed a memorandum of understanding with the National School of Government (NSG) to work together to develop a programme focusing on African governance and building capable developmental states.

The NSG provides education that addresses systemic challenges of public service delivery by improving the skills of, and thus empowering, the current generation of public servants, and producing capable future public servants. The School’s mission is to make the public service efficient and effective, and to set new standards for public administration management.

The recent memorandum of understanding between PARI and the NSG will enable the two institutions to develop an African Governance programme, sharing information and materials, and leveraging on each other’s knowledge, experience, networks and programmes. The collaboration will include open communication and occasional joint undertakings that they will co-fund.

Through this collaboration with the NSG, PARI hopes to open up a route to the African Union to start discussing the emergence of research capacity in African countries on the state of their public services.
