Sarah Meny-Gibert

Sarah’s research interests are in the historical development of the state, civil service reform and its histories, and on the exercise of power in organisational settings. In an earlier period in her career she undertook research on the school education sector. She has co-published on the topic of access to school education in South Africa, and on the subject of civil service reform. Her career history includes years as an applied / policy researcher, working for a number of policy think tanks, and for a survey company which undertook research to feed into government and international donor policy. She was the Research Manager at PARI for three years, before starting her PhD at Wits University, where she is currently registered in the Department of History. She has a Masters degree in Sociology from Wits University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Cape Town.
