Federica Duca

Federica Duca is a Senior Researcher at the Public Affairs Research Institute and a research associate at UJ. Dr Duca leads PARI’s Academic Engagement programme, and previously the Organisational and Institutional Studies programme at Wits University.  Her research focuses on state-society relations and the relationship between spatial and social forms in relation to wealth and privilege, as well as citizenship and the changing form of the nation state.

Federica is currently working on a smart city governance project and she is a member of the South African team of the Project NumSuD- Digital Technologies and Urban Services Management in Cities of the Global South  [Project] NumSud – Digital technologies and urban services management in cities in the Global South | Site Web IRD
