Thabiso has over 10 years of work experience in the development space with a keen interest in current affairs and issues pertaining to the realisation of women’s and children’s rights. She started her career in IT after obtaining her degree in computer and information sciences from Monash University South Africa, wherein she worked briefly in the telecommunications space as a data analyst. She went on to work in the human rights sector where she followed her passion in 2012 as a programme officer on EU-funded projects.
Thabiso spent three years in the palaeosciences field as a programme manager overseeing the grants and education programmes for an institution that was privately funded by African, European, and American donors. The main focus was the development of young African scientists and researchers on the African continent.
