PARI PhD Fellow and Wits Political Science Lecturer Thokozani Chilenga-Butao spoke to Cape Talk Radio about President Cyril Ramaphosa’s new Cabinet, that was sworn in on Thursday, 30 May.

While cutting down the number of ministries from 36 to 28 as promised, the President was still criticised for the number of Deputy Ministers appointed. Chilenga-Butao speculates on the reasons behind these decisions.
