Florencia joined PARI in April 2018 as a Programme Consultant leading the State Reform Programme. She holds a BA in Political Science from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill (USA), a PhD in Political Science from the University of Minnesota (USA), and an LLB from UNISA. She is an admitted attorney in South Africa.  Prior to joining PARI, Florencia was a public servant in the SA government for eight years, and also worked in a number of civil society organisations focusing on asylum seekers, refugees and migrants. Her areas of work include refugee and migrant rights, land rights, administrative law, labour law and child protection.
