For week of the 4th to 8th of September, PARI hosted more than 25 delegates of the International Network of Energy Transition Think Tanks (INETTT) in Johannesburg. INETTT is a a group of think tanks dedicated to working on the energy transition to achieve the climate protection goals of the Paris Agreement in terms of sustainable clean energy and net zero carbon emissions.

The meeting was conceived and facilitated by Lidia Wojtal, Agora Energiewende‘s project lead for the Network, assisted by Pamela Ndlovu (PARI) who ran logistics in Johannesburg. The workshop included opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing and gaining a deeper understanding of the South African case through field trips and site visits. Participants also collectively developed INETTT’s governance policies.

PARI’s Energy Transition programme, led by Tracy Ledger, has been a member of INETTT since 2020.
