Pam Yako, representing the Association of former Directors-General (AfDG), talks to Newzroom Afrika about how the public administration in the Government of National Unity (GNU) should operate, just ahead of the new Cabinet announcement. She places emphasis on the need for an impartial administration, and a clear understanding and respect for the role of a political head versus that of an administrative head. She calls for a relationship of trust between political and administrative leadership, and professionalisation of the public service.
