SABC News, 3 May 2023:

Findings of a report compiled by the Public Affairs Research Institute (PARI) on the South African Police Service (SAPS) has concluded, that the country’s police service in its current state is not fit for purpose. PARI says the police are not only failing to keep the nation safe, but they are failing in almost every aspect of their duty, including crime prevention and detection.
